Courses for Healthcare Providers
Designed for various types of healthcare providers and others such as Police, Fire and EMS professionals or Lifeguards the BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice.
Students must produce a current or recently expired BLS card to take this course or must take the above course. Student should bring workbook from previous course, but workbooks will be available to review or purchase in the classroom. Covers all the skills from the BLS course.
For those involved in cardiac care such as paramedics, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, etc., this advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Students must produce a current or recently expired BLS card to take this course or must take the above course.
